Are you saying yes to too much in life? Regain control to live the life you’ve imagined. 

Every once in a while, life gets hectic and it becomes difficult to have a lot on my plate…. and it’s times like this when I have to step back and re-evaluate the things I am saying yes to. It’s so easy to allow time and energy to be stretched thin, but it’s also vitally important to protect yourself from burnout. It’s times like these when I ask myself:

“Are You Saying Yes to Too Much?”

Do you wish you had more time to yourself to practice self-care, try that hygge trend, or get to yoga? Or maybe you get home, and you barely have enough energy to play with your pets or love on your family and friends. If so, you may be overcommitting; it’s possible to say yes to too many good things in life, too!

I wrote an article for Metiza on saying yes to too much and the side effects of overcommitting because I know I’m not alone in this.

Whenever I feel this happening, I take a moment to really think about how potential plans will make me feel. Will these plans leave me energized, jazzed on life, connected to my loved ones, and looking forward to the next day? Or will they leave me drained?

I want to say yes to experiences, events, coffee dates, and dinner plans that make me excited, allow me to adventure in my own city and abroad, and truly fill my cup so that I can take on whatever life throws at me. That’s why I said yes to my jewelry class, and a weekend away to nourish my soul. What are you saying yes to?
