About

Come in, have a seat. Live the good life with me.

Welcome to Nourishing Wild.

Here, we hold space to breathe deep. To eat real, delicious, whole foods. To move, laugh, meditate, smile, travel, learn, and grow.

This is a place to nourish every part of yourself – from the food you put in your body to your mind and spirit.

I’m Nicole – a marketing professional by day, blogger by night (or lately, in the early morning). I’ve called the Arizona desert home for more than 20 years. I’m passionate about living a vibrant, balanced life and I’m here to share my experiences with you.

I’m also on a journey towards awakening my soul – a journey that’s full of ancient healing modalities and tons of learning, growing, reading, meditation, and yoga. It’s my journey back to myself, and it’s beautiful, messy, and real. I’m here to share that, too.

I want to show you that it’s easy to eat well, cook nourishing food, and find joy in the kitchen.

Eating healthy doesn’t have to be a challenge – it can be fun, easy, vibrant, quick, and playful. Recipes don’t have to take hours – they could take minutes. My greatest joy is cooking, and there’s nothing I love more than spending the day in the kitchen creating a meal for family and friends.

Spending time in the kitchen is woven into the fabric of my life. My parents are both fantastic cooks, and they come from a lineage of traditional southern cuisine. When we moved to Arizona, my Dad embraced the desert and its unique culinary identity. It was from him that I learned how to grill and how to make salsa, stuffed jalapeños, and foods from our year in Italy: puttanesca, handmade pizza, and gnocchi. My mom whips up wonderful soups, stews, and baked goods – often without consulting a recipe – and she shared simple staples with me, like prosciutto-wrapped melon slices and the joy of sardines with crackers and lemon juice.

We grew up entertaining guests at cook outs and pool parties, Thanksgiving dinners, and Passover Seders, which must be the source of my love for entertaining – from pop up brunches to progressive dinner parties, there’s always something to look forward to. Food has a magical ability to bring people together through laughter, good wine, great conversation, and a delicious meal. Eating is a constant in our lives, and it’s best when enjoyed with those we love most.

I also want to show you peeks into my soul journey – cracking open my heart and rising into my full power and consciousness.

When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m reading books, deepening my meditation practice, focusing on self care, practicing yoga, snuggling my cat, and spending time in my parent’s garden. I’ve begun attending intensive, healing breathwork sessions. Reiki has brought me immense clarity, and I’ve had epiphanies from podcasts and spirituality books.

This journey isn’t always glamourous. Healing from past patterns and darkness is tough. Sometimes this looks like a weekend alone in the woods or crying through savasana. Sometimes it looks like a yoga retreat to connect with likeminded souls.

So if you’re on a similar journey, just know that you’re not alone. I’m sharing resources that have helped me along the way in hopes that they help you, too, and we can rise together.

My other passion? Traveling the world.

A self-proclaimed jetsetter, pieces of my heart have been sprinkled across the globe. I love seeing new places, tasting new foods, and being immersed in other cultures to see the world in a way I’ve never seen it before. I’ll share my experiences here with you to empower you to eat, see, and live as only travelers do.
